Mezhtopenergobank reports payment problems, liquidity crunch

MOSCOW, Jul 3 (PRIME) -- Mezhtopenergobank, ranking 94th among Russia’s banks by assets, is experiencing problems with payments due to a liquidity crunch, the bank said on its Web site on Monday.

The crunch is explained by a rapidly spread information about the bank’s insecure financial state, it said.

In June, Mezhtopenergobank said it was temporarily off operations due to technical problems.
